Virtue Focus: Kindness

When a child develops the virtue of kindness, they begin to look for ways to help others. When this becomes a natural response, they’ll benefit their whole lives.

Tips for training your child to develop kindness:

  • Look for opportunities to teach your child to notice what’s happening around them. The first step of kindness is noticing when kindness is needed.
  • Then model noticing the small kind acts you can do for others, then doing them.
  • Read a book together that portrays the main character developing kindness, like this book:
