Any reader who loves horses will be as devasted as 12-year-old Abby’s horse disappears. Where is Abby’s horse, Marigold? Did the horse run off or did someone take her? Abby must solve the mystery while dealing with problems at home and at school. Will she eventually find her horse? This is a mystery well worth reading.

Meanwhile, at school she is also dealing with a bully and trying to plan a rodeo to raise money for the school. A long-buried secret must come to light before all of the threads of Abby’s story can be resolved. This well-written middle grade novel has many different layers that will keep you reading until the end.
