Virtue Focus: Courage
When a child develops the virtue of courage, they begin to understand their personal strength. Courage is the foundation for using many other virtues in life.
Tips for training your child to develop Courage:
- When you send your kids out for a task or play, instead of saying “be careful,” say “pay attention.”
- Give your kids opportunities to try new things regularly. Talk about how being nervous or scared of something new is okay. Then we just do it anyway.
