Virtue Focus: Forgiveness

When a child develops the virtue of forgiveness, they recognize the value in all people and the responsibility they have to work through challenges.  The ability to forgive is a virtue that leads to contentment and peace later in life. 

Tips for training your child to develop Forgiveness:

  • When challenges arise involving other people, discuss the situation from the other person’s perspective.
  • Next time you as the parent is frustrated with someone else, let them see you model having a forgiving attitude.
